TheIoTPodcast is a trading name of Paratus. TheIoTPodcast is a global media business that operates primarily in Video and Audio production namely ‘Podcasts’

TheIoTPodcast works closely with its sister company Paratus which operates www.paratuspeople.com. When you submit information to TheIoTPodcast, your information will also be shared with Paratus, which will also use your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. TheIoTPodcast will remain responsible for the management and security of jointly used Personal Information that you submit to TheIoTPodcast.

We take data protection very seriously and understand the importance of protecting your privacy and Personal Information. “Personal Information” is information that identifies you as an individual such as your name, date of birth, email address, IP address.

What legal basis do we rely on to process your Personal Information?

Consent

On some occasions, TheIoTPodcast processes your data with your consent. For example, we rely on consent when we send promotional material or when you link your TheIoTPodcast account to your Social Network account. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time. Our group companies

We are a trading name of Paratus People Limited. We may share your personal data with certain members of our group companies which also operate online job portals. Where they have access to your personal data they will use it only for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. TheIoTPodcast will remain responsible for the management and security of jointly used Personal Information. Access to Personal Information within TheIoTPodcast, and our group of companies, is restricted to those individuals who have a need to access the information for our business purposes.

International Transfers of Personal Information

Personal Information which you supply to us is generally stored and kept inside the European Economic Area and the UK.

However, due to the nature of our global business and the technologies required, your Personal Information may be transferred to third party service providers outside the EEA, in countries where there may be a lower legal level of data protection. Therefore, as far as you make your profile searchable to recruiters, a recruiter could also be located outside of the EU/EEA. That means that as part of the contract between you and us, it might be necessary that your profile is accessed from a country that does not have the same level of data protection as the EU or EEA. In such situations, we transfer the minimum amount of data necessary, anonymise it where possible and enter legal contracts to aim to ensure these third parties handle your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the European levels of data protection.

How can you manage or delete Personal Information?

When you access our website online, we store some information about you. This is anonymous and used for statistical purposes.

Please note that TheIoTPodcast reserves the right to remove from our database, any content that we consider to be illegal or offensive.

If you would like to permanently delete your account, you can send an email to our Data Protection Officer (DPO) (datacontroller@TheIoTPodcast.com) with the subject line “Permanently delete my information and account”. Please do not forget to tell us who you are. It is important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your password and to your computers, devices, and applications. Be sure to sign off when you finish using a shared computer.

Our organisation utilises Force24’s marketing automation platform.

Force24 cookies are first party cookies and are enabled at the point of cookie acceptance on this website. The cookies are named below:

  • F24_autoID
  • F24_personID

They allow us to understand our audience engagement thus allowing better optimisation of marketing activity.

f24_autoId – This is a temporary identifier on a local machine or phone browser that helps us track anonymous information to be later married up with f24_personid. If this is left anonymous it will be deleted after 6 months . Non-essential, first party, 10 years, persistent.

f24_personId – This is an ID generated per individual contact in the Force24 system to be able to track behaviour and form submissions into the Force24 system from outside sources per user. This is used for personalisation and ability to segment decisions for further communications. Non-essential, first party, 10 years, persistent.

The information stored by Force24 cookies remains anonymous until:

  • Our website is visited via clicking from an email or SMS message, sent via the Force24 platform and cookies are accepted on the website.
  • A user of the website completes a form containing email address from either our website or our Force24 landing pages.

The Force24 cookies will remain on a device for 10 years unless they are deleted.

We also use similar technologies including tracking pixels and link tracking to monitor your viewing activities

Device & browser type and open statistics

All emails have a tracking pixel ( a tiny invisible image ) with a query string in the URL. Within the URL we have user details to identify who opened an email for statistical purposes.

Link Tracking

All links within emails and SMS messages sent from the Force24 platform contain a unique tracking reference, this reference help us identify who clicked an email for statistical purposes.

Push notifications

If you use the TheIoTPodcast Website, you may also consent to push notifications, text messages, alerts, emails or other types of messages directly sent to you outside or inside of the TheIoTPodcast App to your mobile device or desktop browser. If you declare your consent to receive such messages a device token will be generated, which will be associated with your device.

Children and minors

TheIoTPodcast is not directed towards individuals under the age of eighteen (18), however we are aware due to the nature of our content those between 14 and 18 may use the Services. Individuals under the age of thirteen (13) are expressly prohibited from using TheIoTPodcast Website, unless parental consent is provided and we are notified.
