Aishatu is a Peace Technologist, AI Artist, Public Speaker advocating for social justice within technology by forging new digital pathways for peace. She is on the list of TOP 100 Brilliant and Inspiring Women in AI Ethics – 2022 , and a DataEthics4All TOP 100 DIET Champion 2021.

Aishatu explores African and Indigenous philosophies, folklore, and oral literature to design innovative, restorative and equitable future(s). In her role as a Regional Coordinator for Africa and Europe of the organization Black Women In Artificial Intelligence, she ensures the voices of Black women are heard. Aishatu is a Steering Committee Member of Design to Divest, a transdisciplinary organization dedicated to celebrating communities on the margins through the research and elevation of Afrocentric and Indigenous creative thought and vernacular design.

Tejumande is a computer scientist/research assistant and founder of AI Saturdays (in Lagos, Nigeria). AI Saturdays Lagos is an artificial intelligence community. Tejumade co-founded this community in 2018 and offers 16 consecutive Saturdays of free courses on Data Science, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning in structured learning groups.
